A few months ago, I made a game for Ludum Dare. It was my first time doing the competition, and it was a lot of fun. Most importantly, I learned a ton about what I could accomplish and what was realistic to get done over the course of two days. Over the next couple months, I put some time into my entry on nights and weekends in an attempt to try to polish it.
One of the major things I did when cleaning up the game was streamline the way I created levels. I thought my failures could help benefit other developers, so I have made a short video explaining what I did, and how it helped me. Enjoy!
You can find the original competition version of the game here.
